Hi, I’m Julie
I am an advocate for children’s wellbeing, a supporter of parents and a writer.
It weighs heavily on my heart to see levels of anxiety, depression and other mental health issues rising amongst our children and young people. So I am doing what I can to turn things around by helping parents to be intentional about giving their children what they really need in order to thrive.
I draw on my studies in education and child psychology; my experience as a primary school teacher and a parent; and my natural empathy and intuition to offer insights into how we can enhance our children’s wellbeing through the way we parent. I translate these ideas into manageable, practical tips that any parent can use.
I also enjoy getting out from behind my computer screen and having conversations about how we can help our children to thrive. I have co-facilitated parenting workshops and participated in online discussions and I welcome opportunities to discuss how to better meet the needs of our children – mind, body and soul.
I am Mum to two gorgeous boys – Thomas (5) and Jake (8). They are vibrant and big-hearted and show me how to live with both compassion and gusto everyday. They are my teachers and my inspiration.
