I am an advocate for children’s wellbeing, a supporter of parents and a writer. But, most importantly, I am a mother.
This website is where I share my intentions, questions and experiences as I try to give my children the best start in life that I can. My hope is that it will help you to do the same.
One thing I have learned through motherhood is that there are no parenting hacks or step-by-step formulas when it comes to raising kids who thrive. Being the parents our children need begins with our willingness to take them, ourselves and the circumstances before us as they are, without trying to rush through the difficult bits. From acceptance, we can respond with clear insight, true intention and pure love.
I call it “soulful parenting” because it puts connection and wellbeing above compliance and control. Yet, it fosters more co-operation and confidence in all members of the family. Soulful parenting also allows room for imperfection – ours and our children’s – which relieves the pressure and creates more ease for everyone.
